TPC Deere Run’s championship golf course is a destination for golfers in the Midwest. Located in the Quad Cities region of Western Illinois and just over a two-hour drive from Chicago, TPC Deere Run’s championship golf course is a challenging layout that will test your shotmaking skills. The St. Ambrose men's golf team hosts the annual NAIA Midwest Invitational in mid-October, a two-day tournament that features some of the top teams in the country. St. Ambrose hosted the NAIA Men's Golf National Championships at TPC Deere Run from 2009-11, 2016-2018, and 2021. The course will play host for the Men's National Championships again in 2022 and the Women's National Championships in 2023 and 2024.

TPC Deere Run’s golf course is built on the site of a former Arabian horse farm. Course architect and former PGA TOUR professional D.A. Weibring masterfully used the natural, rolling landscape to create a championship golf course that stretches along the picturesque wooded ravines of the area’s famous Rock River.

TPC Deere Run has been honored by Golf Digest, ranking No. 42 among the United States’ 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses. Golfweek Magazine has also ranked TPC Deere Run among the top five courses in the state of Illinois.

Since 2000, TPC Deere Run has been the home of the PGA TOUR’s annual John Deere Classic. The John Deere Classic is held in July the week before the British Open and draws some of the PGA TOUR’s top talent. The tournament has served as a qualifier for The Open Championship and in 2013, Jordan Spieth's playoff victory at TPC Deere Run gave him his first PGA Tour win and earned him a spot in the British Open during his PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year season.
