Irene Artabe (women's swimming) and Joe Reinhart (men's indoor track and field) were selected by the St. Ambrose Sports Information staff as the January Fighting Bees Athletes of the Month.

The Fighting Bees Men's Swimming team was named January's Team of the Month.

Reinhart, junior thrower, put together a productive January, recording multiple podium finishes and consistent marks across several meets. He claimed first place in both the shot put (14.83m) and weight throw (17.26m) at the Fighting Bee Invitational and followed that with another sweep at the Battle in the Hive, winning the shot put (15.58m) and weight throw (17.48m). Reinhart also added a third-place shot put finish at the Bumble Rumble, and also competed well against deep fields at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational and the Washburn Open, posting a season-best 16.13m (52-11) in the shot put while continuing to score in the weight throw. He earned CCAC Field Athlete of the week on January 18 for performances at the Fighting Bee Invitational and Larry Wieczorek Invitational, highlighted with a NAIA "B" standard, school-record-breaking throw of 18.47 meters

Artabe, senior sprinter, was a major force for St. Ambrose women's swimming throughout January, delivering both individual wins and key relay performances at the Norse Sprint Invite and Grinnell Invite. At the Norse Sprint Invite, Artabe helped anchor the Bees to a first-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, swimming the opening backstroke leg, and added a victory in the 50-yard backstroke to showcase her speed and consistency. She continued that momentum at the Grinnell Invite, where she captured first place in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.33, once again playing a pivotal role in multiple relay lineups that finished among the top teams.

The St. Ambrose men's swimming team delivered an outstanding January, highlighted by dominant performances at both the Norse Sprint Invite and the Grinnell Invite. At the Norse Sprint Invite, the Bees won 10 total events, including both relay victories, and swept multiple podiums behind wins from Cory Werrett, Maximo Jacquet, Luke Thomas, Juan De Armas, Marat Usov, and others. The success continued at the Grinnell Invite, where St. Ambrose qualified 39 swims into A finals and secured event wins in the 100 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 50 freestyle, 100 IM, 400 IM, and several relays, capped by a first-place finish in the 400 medley relay and strong runner-up showings in the 200 and 800 freestyle relays, showcasing the team's depth and versatility throughout the month. In the final meet of the month, St. Ambrose delivered a dominant performance, sweeping four event victories with first-place finishes in the 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, 100 backstroke (59.33), and 200 IM (2:14.90).

Each month, the St. Ambrose Sports Information Department selects a Male and Female Athlete of the Month based on their exceptional accomplishments. A Team of the Month is also chosen to recognize collective achievement across all Fighting Bees programs.
