St. Ambrose women's soccer travelled to Winona Lake, Ind., to take on a tough Grace Lancers team. The Bees gave up five goals in a 5-0 defeat Saturday afternoon.

The Bees held their own in the first half, only allowing the Lancers to score with three minutes left. St. Ambrose was unable to capitalize on shots from Bella Steiner and Elly Bare. The Bees put up two shots in the half against the nine that Grace accumulated.

St. Ambrose came out with two shots in the first 15 minutes of the second half, just missing the net. The Lancers responded with their second and third goals back-to-back within a minute. After that, the Bees were playing a defensive game. Grace went on to score two more goals, bringing the total to five.

Isabella Crawford, Mia Hefner, Bare, and Steiner each had one shot.

Next up, the Bees will travel to Chicago, Ill., on Saturday, September 13^th as they take on the University of Illinois-Chicago Flames at 6 p.m.
